How to Reach Parasnath Temple from Kolkata by Train

Depart from Kolkata. Most trains to Parasnath leave from Howrah or Sealdah stations. The journey typically takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on the train, route, and weather.

Step 3:
Upon arriving at Parasnath Railway Station, hire local transport (auto or taxi) to reach Isri Bazar or Madhuban.

Step 4:
Begin your spiritual trek from the Madhuban Trekking Gate. The main temple is located approximately 9.65 km from this point.

  • Trekking usually takes 4 to 6 hours.
  • Bike services are also available for those who prefer not to walk.

How to Reach Parasnath Temple from Kolkata by Bus

Step 1:
Book your bus ticket in advance either online or through a local travel agency.

Board a bus from Kolkata to either Giridih or Dhanbad. Buses (day and overnight) are available from major Kolkata terminals such as Esplanade or Babughat. Choose based on convenience and operator availability.

Step 3:
From Dhanbad, take a local bus, shared auto, or private cab to Giridih. This leg of the journey typically takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions.

Step 4:
From Giridih, regular private buses are available to Isri Bazar. From there, take a shared auto or private cab to reach Madhuban. Alternatively, you can hire a direct cab from Giridih to Madhuban (approx. 1 to 1.5 hours).
